Rainbow Care Services

We specialise in providing an excellent standard of care at home to older people and young adults who have mental health, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and dementia. We are passionate about helping people and believe that all our clients should receive the best care possible whilst being safeguarded in their homes.

Care at home is a great option for families to consider who would like their loved ones to get the support they need without having to move into a care home. The client can still enjoy their own surroundings whilst receiving help at the times and with tasks that they need the most support with. This can be helpful to the entire family as it can take some of the responsibility away from those who may have other demands to meet, such as work and childcare.

We work with people who have privately sought care for a loved one, as well as clients who are receiving direct payments from the local authorities. We are also on the NHS list in Newham and regularly receive referrals from them. We provide person-centered care and respect all individual backgrounds and cultures.

Our Care Services Explained

Our Carers are highly trained to assist with day-to-day essential tasks that can be difficult for a person who is in our care to do alone, such as:

  • Washing and dressing
  • Grooming and personal hygiene
  • Continence care
  • Feeding and prompting medication
  • Getting out of bed in the morning and settling at night

We provide this help whilst encouraging independence as far as is possible. Personal Care is available to older people and those with disabilities, mental health and dementia and we deliver it to those who are in our care privately, receiving direct payments and who are receiving end of life care where a requirement has been identified.

In addition to providing Personal Care, we provide other support to our clients around and outside of their homes because we understand that there are some jobs our clients are unable to manage by themselves. We are able to provide these support services alongside Personal Care or as a stand-alone service, and includes:

  • Assisting with household chores
  • Shopping, bill management and pension collection
  • Cooking meals
  • Escorting

We are able to provide care around the clock which is available to people who have high complex needs.

Day care is from 7am – 10pm and encompasses Personal Care along with support in other day to day activities.

Night Care is from 10pm – 7am and comes in 3 bands

  • Low Band- where minimum assistance is needed
  • Medium band- where assistance is needed up to 3 times during the night
  • High band- where assistance is needed throughout the night

There are a growing number of people who have made a choice to carry out the end of their lives at home rather than in a hospital, having been faced with a terminal illness and given a limited time frame on their life expectancy. This is something that we at Rainbow Homecare are compassionate about and are experienced in carrying out End of Life Care in collaboration with the NHS.

End of Life Care at home can be a huge assistance to the family who are having to cope with a difficult time, but also gives the person in our care the opportunity to be in the comfort of their own home whilst receiving a high level of care and assistance. This includes Personal Care and/or Support Services.
